Steps to Deactivate or Delete Your Pinterest Account
DEACTIVATE YOUR PINTEREST ACCOUNT
If you are planning to return to your Pinterest account after a period, you can simply deactivate your account instead of deleting it. And, later when you wish to reactivate your account, you can do so by simply signing into your account.
1.) On your computer, sign in to your Pinterest account and click on the “…” icon located at the upper right side of your screen.
2.) Next, from the drop-down menu that appears on your screen, click on the Settings option.
3.) Under the Settings section, you will need to click on the Deactivate Account option located at the bottom of Account Basics.
4.) Then, select one of the reasons from the given one to deactivate your account.
5.) After that, confirm that you wish to deactivate your account.
NOTE: Deactivating your account will make your profile and boards invisible on Pinterest. Your account will also be unlinked from Facebook and Twitter accounts (if linked with them).
DELETE YOUR PINTEREST ACCOUNT
If you have made your mind completely that you want to close your account permanently, simply follow the below mentioned steps.
1.) On your computer, sign in to your Pinterest account which you wish to delete.
2.) Once you are logged in to your Pinterest account, click on the “…” option located on the top-right side of the screen.
3.) From the drop-down menu that appears on your screen, click on the Settings option.
4.) Under Settings section, click on the Deactivate Account option located at the bottom of Account Basics and then click on the permanently close my account option located at the bottom of the options.
5.) Then, Confirm that you want to permanently close your account and click Yes, close account in the confirmation email you receive to confirm the closure of your Pinterest account.
And, this is how you can deactivate or delete your Pinterest account. However, if you have a business profile, you will need to contact Pinterest in order to permanently close your account.
