As an AOL mail user, you can add up to seven screen names to your AOL Mail account. While the first name you registered your account with remains your main screen name and can’t be changed at any time, you can always add and delete other screen names to your AOL Mail account. Steps to Add Screen Name to AOL Mail Account
1.) On your web browser, sign into your AOL account using your AOL master username and password.
2.) If prompted, enter an answer to the security question and then click on the Continue button.
3.) Next, go to the Manage My Usernames option located under Username Options.
NOTE: if you are creating your screen name for the first time, you may need to click on the Create Username option under Username Options section as you may not find Manage My Usernames option.
3.) On the next screen, you will need to enter the username which you wish to add as your screen name under Add a Screen Name field and click on the Add button.
4.) Then, you will need to select an age category for this new username by clicking on the drop-down menu. For adult users, you will need to select General (Ages 18+) and click on the Continue button.
5.) After that, you will be asked to select an Account Security Question from the list and enter an answer for it under the fields – Your Answer and Re-Type Your Answer.
3.) After selecting the desired question and entering the answer for it, click on the Continue button to create an account with your new screen name.
So, this is how you will be able to add a screen name to your AOL Mail account. However, please note that any new usernames or screen names you add will be created as a separate AOL account and will not be linked to your existing AOL account. Also, if you ever wish to change or modify your AOL username, unfortunately, you won’t be able to modify an AOL username once you’ve created it. Moreover, in case you are unable to delete a General username even after being a Master of the account, make sure that you don’t have any paid AOL Plan or premium subscriptions associated with the username that you are trying to delete.
