How to Setup iCloud Mail on Outlook?

While you can directly access your iCloud Mail via the web or mobile application, if you wish to configure it on your Outlook program, you can do that too easily by following the information provided below.

Steps to Setup iCloud Mail on Outlook

NOTE: The following steps may vary as per the version of your Outlook program. Also, if you are looking to configure your iCloud Mail account by following manual steps, you will need to have iCloud Mail Settings.

For automatic configuration, follow the instructions provided below.

1.) Launch Outlook on your computer, click on the File tab and then click on the Add Account option.

2.) Next, in the Add Account wizard that appears on your screen, select the round button next to “Manual setup or additional server types”.

3.) In the next screen, you will be prompted to choose a service. So, simply select POP or IMAP option and click on the Next button.

4.) Then, under POP and IMAP Account Settings box, you will need to provide information for the required options as suggested below:

User Information

  • Your Name: Enter your complete name
  • Email Address: Enter your complete email address

Server Information

  • Account Type: IMAP
  • Incoming mail server: imap.mail.me.com
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): imap.mail.me.com

Logon Information

  • User Name: Enter your iCloud Mail account username
  • Password: Enter your iCloud Mail account password

NOTE: Select checkbox next to Remember password if you wish to get automatically logged in to your iCloud Mail account on Outlook.

5.) After that, click on the More Settings button. You will be directed to the Internet E-Mail Settings box. Go to the General tab, enter the name of your account.

Note: You can select any name of your choice as this will not affect the connection in any way.

6.) Select the checkbox next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server option.

7.) Then, go to the Advanced tab and enter the following information in the appropriate fields:

  • Incoming server (IMAP): 993
  • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
  • Use the following type of encrypted connection: Auto

8.) Once you are done entering the required information, click on the OK button.

9.) Then, you will need to click on the Next button. This will run a test to check the settings and configurations.

10.) When the test gets completed successfully, tap on the Close button to complete the process.

And, this is how your iCloud Mail account will get configured on Outlook.
